The Baltimore Ravens are having a great start to the season. Despite early injury issues, the Ravens are 5-2 and are cruising in the AFC North. However, it is clearly the view of their front office that the team can be bolstered. Before the trade deadline passed on November 2nd, the Ravens tried to trade for the Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard.

As NFL.com reports, the Ravens tried their absolute best to get the All-Pro cornerback, but there were a few issues. The report suggests that the Ravens were not willing to part ways with a first-round pick for Howard. There were a lot of negotiations and a willingness to make a deal from both teams, but it did not materialize in the end.

The Dolphins have had their share of issues this year. They started 1-7 and do not look good in the slightest. Their starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, has had injury issues. He was also apparently not the first choice of his team, as there were rumors of them acquiring Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans. However, Dolphins coach Brian Flores squashed those rumors in a statement reported by ESPN's Jeff Darlington.

Both teams are in action today. The Ravens will face the Minnesota Vikings (3-4) and the Dolphins are playing the Houston Texans (1-7).
