Baltimore Ravens Pro Bowl outside linebacker Matt Judon could be on another team next season. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Judon is expected to draw serious trade interest in the offseason.

Judon, 28, is slated to be a free agent in March, barring an extension or franchise tag by the Ravens. While staying in Baltimore is a viable option — especially for a team that needs his pass-rush presence — it may make more sense to trade him.

The Ravens could follow the path of the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams traded their free-agent pass rushers — Frank Clark and Dee Ford — and got substantial hauls in return. Considering Clark and Ford's production on their new teams, others may be willing to pay a high price for Judon, as he would theoretically boost a pass-rush.

Furthermore, the Ravens could be dealing with cap constraints in the near future, as retaining Lamar Jackson, Ronnie Stanley, and others will be costly — it will also come sooner than expected. Baltimore is expected to have $29 million in cap space in 2020, per Over The Cap.

In 2019, Judon tallied 9.5 sacks, 54 combined tackles, 33 quarterback hits, and 14 tackles for loss in 2019, marking his third-straight season with at least seven sacks.

Judon recently acknowledged that he does not know where he will play in 2020.

I don’t know where I’m going to be at next year, man,” Judon told NFL.com. “I don’t know. It’s a lot of organizations represented out here. Baltimore got the most. I don’t know. I honestly don’t know. That’s really a decision between me, my G.M. and my agent.”

The situation between the Ravens and Judon appears to be a fluid one.
