Even in his 42nd birthday, sharpshooting wonder Ray Allen still hears the “snake” comments from the Boston Celtics fan base, making it a sweet-and-sour experience to mention his name to Celtics fans over social media.

One of the team's many fan sites made a post over Instagram to congratulate the all-time three-point king on his 42nd name day, but the celebration wouldn't be complete without a few fans trying to ruin the party, posting the snake emoji.

Allen surprisingly replied with a somewhat lengthy statement:

“Y'all need to get over it!!! Where were you all when the team tried to trade me?,” wrote Allen in one of the comments. “It's a business, we go where it's necessary just like you all do in your jobs!!!! I will always be a Celtic no matter what any of you say. Get over it!!!!”

Allen infamously left Boston to join a star-studded team in the Miami Heat, notching another championship playing alongside LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.

To end his rant, Allen posted a message below, acknowledging those who did indeed wish him a happy birthday.

“Oh and Thank you everyone for wishing me a happy birthday!!!”
