The New England Patriots are one of the toughest teams to play against on their own turf. They've played at Gillette Stadium five times this season and won all those games by scoring 27 points or more each time. The five-time Super Bowl winners currently possess an 8-3 record. Winning is on their side lately, and they are undeniably on their way to another playoff appearance. Their next task, however, is a Minnesota Vikings team eager to win games as the playoffs are fast approaching.

The 6-4-1 Vikings hold the fifth spot in the NFC playoff picture. But their place isn't safe yet, and three 6-5 teams trail behind them. Namely the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, and Carolina Panthers.

According to Tyler Sullivan of 247ports, Hall of Famer Ray Lewis thinks that the Vikings are capable of beating the Patriots in their own home.

“There's a lot of built teams that can't go into New England and win,” Lewis said on Showtime's Inside the NFL. “This team, the way they’re built, can go into New England and win. And one of the biggest pieces why — what they do in their front seven on defense is incredible — but Dalvin Cook. Having Dalvin Cook fresh and running against New England’s defense, I’m going to take the Vikings in this one.”

The former Baltimore Ravens linebacker pointed out on running back Dalvin Cook's impact on the game. Lewis stated that he was picking the Vikings because of Cook's ability to go against defenses. The Florida State product has made a comeback this year after he suffered a season-ending ACL injury last season. He currently has 228 rushing yards, 19 receptions for 172 yards and a touchdown in six games this season.

However, the Vikings have a string of injuries to monitor this week. Wide receivers Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, and cornerback Xavier Rhodes are currently listed in their injury report.

The Patriots' success so far is because of Tom Brady's consistency. The 41-year old has not slowed down yet and has passed for 3,031 yards, and 19 touchdowns with seven interceptions through Week 12.
