Free agent point guard Raymond Felton has agreed to a one-year, $2.3 million deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

Thunder general manager Sam Presti has been silent, but deadly as he’s been his whole career — slowly, but surely snatching free agent gems and now bringing a solid backup like Felton to play under MVP Russell Westbrook.

One of the biggest areas of need was a reliable second-unit floor general to run the offense, and the Thunder front office has taken care of just that with a veteran leader that can score, make plays and hound players on the defensive end.

Felton became an NBA journeyman after his first five years in the league, playing for six different teams in his last seven seasons, the last with the L.A. Clippers, where he averaged 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game in a very limited role as a third-stringer.

The North Carolina product has been a starting point guard the majority of his career and has been a durable reserve in the last couple of seasons — playing in 80 games each while shouldering a set-up role in the second unit.
