Tampa Bay Rays rookie star Randy Arozarena is in the midst of an absolutely ridiculous hot streak as he bolsters his pursuit of the American League Rookie of the Year Award.

Arozarena homered twice and drove in four runs during Wednesday's win over the Baltimore Orioles. He picked up right where he left off Thursday afternoon, homering in his second at-bat of the game against Orioles right-hander Dean Kremer after lining out in his first at-bat.

Take a look at this crazy run from last October's playoff sensation.

That's pretty good stuff from Arozarena, who later grounded out in his third at-bat. It's also vital production for a Rays team that has begun to generate more offense as of late.

Tampa Bay entered Thursday's action in second place in the AL East behind the Boston Red Sox. The Rays had struggled to score runs and get consistent offense from their top stars earlier in the year, but Arozarena is beginning to heat up in a hurry.

The 24-year-old came into Thursday's game with an .824 OPS in the month of May. He had a 132 OPS+ and four stolen bases, also ranking in the 83rd percentile in outs above average.

Chicago White Sox breakout star Yermin Mercedes is a leading candidate for the AL ROY Award, but Arozarena could be hot on his heels if he continues to lift the ball.

The Rays outfielder had a 53.9 ground ball rate, though his exit velocities were quite strong. It would seem Arozarena could be on the verge of a massive surge if he continues to lift the ball as he has of late.
