LeBron James made an appearance in Paris on Saturday to cheer on Liverpool in the Champions League Final against Real Madrid. It seems the fact he was in attendance made the rounds among the fans at the Stade de France, as a chorus of Real Madrid fans began trolling the Lakers star, chanting ā€œMichael Jordan betterā€ in his direction.

Not even at an overseas football game is LeBron James safe from slander from opposing fans. To make matters worse, Liverpool failed to score a goal in the 1-0 defeat against Real Madrid, meaning LeBron came all the way out to Paris to watch his team lose, and get trolled by some Spanish fans.

It's safe to say, in the eyes of Real Madrid fans, Michael Jordan is still their GOAT. LeBron was issued a harsh reminder of that at Stade de France on Saturday, though we're sure he's used to it by now.

It seems he had some trouble even getting to the match, as he tweeted out a plea for the match to start late as he was still en route from LA. Overall, not a great day for James.

Bizarrely, the match did start as much as 30 minutes after schedule, though that had nothing to do with LeBron, and more to do with mayhem outside the gates involving Liverpool fans.

Liverpool will look to get back to the Champions League Final next season, and perhaps LeBron will be in attendance the next time they play in the final, where hopefully the team will have a better result.
