Being a professional athlete is hard. It's especially hard for major league pitchers who are working their way back after an extended absence, like Boston Red Sox ace Chris Sale. Sale has had a frustratingly long road to recovery from Tommy John surgery he underwent last year. But that frustration hit a whole new level on Wednesday night after Sale struggled in a rehab outing for Boston's Triple-A affiliate, the Worcester Red Sox. The southpaw recorded five strikeouts but issued five walks in 3 2/3 innings. If anyone was wondering, he took the poor results pretty hard.

Chris Sale went on a rampage in what looks like the Worcester Red Sox clubhouse, leaving a trail of broken items and carnage in his wake. The seven-time All-Star can then be seen stomping away in anger.

First off, Sale needs to realize that this isn't the Red Sox major league clubhouse. It just seems wrong to completely demolish a clubhouse that you'll likely never see again.

My goodness what a temper that Sale has, though! The Red Sox ace is definitely the everybody-stay-away-from-that-guy-when-he's-pitching-poorly kind of player in the dugout.

No Gatorade coolers or bat racks are safe from the wrath of Sale. In all seriousness, it's certainly easy to understand Sale's frustration.

He hasn't pitched a full season for the Red Sox since 2019, worked his way back to possibly return early in 2022, then suffered a ribcage injury that has been a massive setback in his return.

On top of that, Chris Sale has had to fight through tough outings like this. It's perfectly reasonable to be frustrated.

Just don't be that guy about it.
