Linebacker Reuben Foster was recently claimed by the Washington Redskins off waivers, Tuesday. They took a chance on him despite his recent off-field troubles.

However, head coach Jay Gruden stated that there is no guarantee Foster might see again immediately, according to John Keim of ESPN.

Foster was released by the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday after being arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence battery. The NFL obtained a police report from the Hillsborough County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office and found that Foster was jailed at 11 P.M. ET. He was arrested two hours earlier at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tampa for domestic violence.

The 24-year-old could not gear up yet for the Redskins.  He is currently placed on the commissioner's exempt list that bars him from practicing and playing as the league is conducting its own investigation of the case. Foster is no stranger to such incidents, he had already been arrested thrice earlier this year before this happened.

On January 23, he was arrested in Alabama for possession of marijuana but posted a $2,500 bail for his release. A month later he was arrested because of suspicions of domestic violence.  Just last October he was jailed again for a similar charge. The 49ers had enough and gave up on him less than two years after drafting him.

In case he would be allowed to play again in the future, Foster would receive his second chance. He better take care of it as another red flag could lead to his early exit to the league.
