It seems that at least one person is happy with Washington's recent head coaching change. After spending the last two seasons with the Redskins, running back Adrian Peterson stated Thursday that the team had it's best practice since his arrival.

Whether Peterson's excitement is indeed due to having a great practice or rather because the man that left a fully healthy Peterson inactive for the season opener has been fired is unknown.

What is known is the fact that interim coach Bill Callahan has stated he wants to change the culture in the locker room by making players more accountable.

Callahan and former head coach Jay Gruden seem to have very different coaching philosophies. Callahan is the same man that took a gritty Oakland Raiders team to the Super Bowl, giving you an idea of the kind of intensity he expects out of his football teams.

With Washington still winless, this week posses the best opportunity for them to capture that elusive win. Callahan knows that a loss to the lowly Miami Dolphins will only worsen the criticism that the Redskins are already receiving.

Peterson cannot be the only man that is excited about this change as the team desperately needed a change in culture. Players did not seem to want to play for Gruden as the coach himself had seemed to already given up on the season.

This practice was just the beginning as Callahan will work this team to the brim for the next 10 games and possibly longer.
