In the days leading into Week 5 action against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, there have been some lingering questions concerning the health of former All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson.

It appears that his status for the contest has been made clear as he was removed from the injury report after a full practice session on Saturday, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

As Washington emerges from its bye, running back Adrian Peterson has exited the injury report.

The future Hall of Famer suffered an ankle injury during a Week Three win over Green Bay. He practiced on a limited basis both Thursday and Friday before fully participating in Saturday’s session.

Despite not being able to practice earlier in the week, Peterson has been able to take the practice field in the last three straight days that was concluded by a full day of practice. He has been dealing with an ankle injury over the last week that occurred late in the 31-17 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 3. Peterson was able to benefit with extra rest from the Week 4 bye that has likely made a huge difference in his status for Monday's game.

The 33-year-old has shown that he still has plenty of tread left on his tires through the first three games played with 236 rushing yards and three touchdowns along with five catches for 100 receiving yards. This includes coming off a season-high 120 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the 31-17 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 3. He is currently on pace to garner 1,259 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns at the pace that he has begun the 2018 campaign.

Peterson has a chance to build on his strong start on Monday but that will face a tough challenge with the Saints defense that has given up the fourth-fewest yards along with being first with a league-low 3.2 yards per attempt allowed.
