Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson admitted something he probably shouldn't have on Thursday, that Trent Williams is back in town. Peterson and Williams own a gym together in Houston and was asked if he has had any communications with the All-Pro.

“Yeah, actually I talked to him last night,” Peterson said via Washington Post, then chuckled before adding: “In person, so … yeah.”

Peterson didn't seem to want to give any more indications of why exactly Williams is hanging around D.C. or if it has anything to do with football.

“Yeah, he’s here,” Peterson said. “He had to come back to take care of some things. I don’t know how long he’s going to be in town, I don’t know all that. It was just good for me to be able to catch up with him and see him because I haven’t caught up with him in a long time.”

Peterson said that the two guys actually didn't talk about the Redskins much, and he knows he won't be back this week.

“I don’t know,” Peterson said. “I don’t want to get into all that. It’s Thursday, he won’t be in this week for sure. But that’s not really what we talked about. We just caught up and saw how he was doing and how things are going for him.”

The Redskins offensive line is one of the worst in football but if the team could get Williams back, that would be a huge boost to both the passing and running game.
