Washington Redskins running back has dealt with a lot of injuries this year including a dislocated shoulder and an ankle injury. He has still been a considerable part of the Redskins offense, but according to Peterson he is finally getting healthy and is feeling refreshed.

“I’m feeling good. Last week I actually started feeling all the way healthy,” Peterson said via The Washington Post. “My shoulder, I’m back to bench pressing. I hadn’t did that in three weeks. So, I’m back to kind of doing the normal things that I was able to do. My ankle is feeling good.”

The Redskins have a huge showdown on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys that could go along way in deciding the NFC East, and Peterson said it is a blessing that he is feeling the way he is.

“My body is just kind of feeling refreshed. The second half has been a blessing to me. [It was] a grind the first eight weeks and here now, as I stand in front of you guys, my body is feeling amazing. That’s big [considering] that we just started the second stretch and we have a big game coming up.”

On the season, Peterson has rushed for 672 yards and four touchdowns. He has also been more of a threat out of the backfield, catching 14 passes.

If the Redskins are going to win the NFC East and make it to the playoffs Peterson staying Healthy and continuing to play well is going to a big key.
