Former Alabama Crimson Tide and San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster is now a member of the Washington Redskins despite not having suited up for the NFC East franchise in 2018-19. Even though he was claimed off waivers midway through the most recent regular season, Foster was unable to make his way onto the field as he found himself on the league's Reserve/Commissioner Exempt List, which stemmed from domestic violence charges in the state of Florida.

Even though Foster encountered quite the tumultuous campaign in 2018-19, due to his off-the-field issues, it appears as though the Redskins and team president Bruce Allen are ready to move forward with the young linebacker. In fact, Allen and the Redskins do not even expect Foster to be suspended by the league going forward.

“I don't know why we would suspect a suspension,” Allen told reporters at this year's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on Tuesday afternoon, via Grant Paulsen of NBC Sports Washington.

Presumably leading to such a statement from Allen, the troubled defender did see his misdemeanor domestic violence battery charge dismissed by Florida prosecutors earlier this month.

“The league is still finishing their investigation of it,” Allen initially said of Foster's case, via NFL.com. “We've finished our investigation with it. He's working hard. He's healthy. Doing the things that we have mandated that he do in order to ever wear the burgundy and gold.”

Foster was originally selected by the aforementioned 49ers in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Alabama.
