The Washington Football Team lost a key member of the front seven when Matt Ioannidis was lost for the year due to a torn biceps. That group will be even weaker in Week 4, as rookie edge-rusher Chase Young is not expected to play due to a groin injury sustained against the Cleveland Browns this past weekend.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Young suffered a moderate groin strain and is unlikely to go against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Chase Young had gotten his pro career off to a terrific start in the first two games.

The No. 2 overall pick had 1.5 sacks, four combined tackles and a forced fumble in a win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1. Young followed with another sack and two tackles for a loss in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals.

But Chase Young has experienced a setback. He played just 13 defensive snaps against Cleveland before hobbling to the locker room. Young would reemerge but in street clothes.

Washington will undoubtedly exhibit caution with respect to Young's health. The former Ohio State star was regarded by many as the best player in the draft this past April, and he showed quite a bit of promise prior to the injury.

Moreover, the NFC East is a mess, and the Football Team is currently tied with the Dallas Cowboys for the best record in the division at 1-2.

It remains to be seen whether Young will actually miss more time due to the nature of the injury. But Washington will miss him up front as it prepares to take on Lamar Jackson and Co. this weekend.
