Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice is hoping to spark a major comeback in the 2020 NFL season. Unfortunately, he has now found some legal trouble to deal with this offseason.

According to Matthew Paras of The Washington Times, Guice's former marketing agent Fadde Mikhail is suing his for unpaid loans:

A former agent for Derrius Guice filed a lawsuit against the Redskins running back and his current representation, claiming he was never repaid for loans and is owed a commission for endorsement and marketing deals arranged for his former client.

Mikhail claims to have represented Guice during the draft process until he signed with Young Money, which is the sports agency that was founded by rapper Lil' Wayne.

Mikhail alleges that he helped negotiate deals for a number of Guice's endorsements including Nike Hyundai, and Leaf's trading card. He also claims to have loaned the running back $191,000 in 2018. He filed the suit on March 31 and is now reportedly seeking $500,000 in damages.

It is safe to say that the timing of the suit is hardly ideal for Guice. He has struggled to find his footing in the NFL as it is while dealing with a number of severe injuries. He was optimistic that the 2020 NFL season would be the year he gets back on track, however, he could now have another distraction on his hands.

Regardless, Guice has sown plenty of promise during his limited playing time. While the Redskins may have opted to bring back running back Adrian Peterson as some insurance, they are still optimistic about his potential as a future workhorse.
