Bill Callahan has seen his quarterback develop for the Washington Redskins. On Sept. 29, rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins checked in for the first time in his NFL career. In a defeat to the New York Giants, the former Ohio State Buckeye struggled, throwing three interceptions to no touchdowns.

Haskins will see the Giants again. On Sunday, he will receive his seventh NFL start against them. Interim head coach Bill Callahan sees the improvement between the games. He says he is “light years” ahead of where he was the last time he faced the G-Men, according to NBC Sports Washington’s JP Finlay.

Haskins' last game is a testament to that. He's coming off the best game of his career, as in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, he went 19 of 28 passing for 261 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, good for a 121.3 passer rating. He too sees the improvement.

While noting that he “threw up watching” his film against the Giants, he said on Wednesday that he's essentially a different quarterback now.

It’s just that I’m a whole different player than I was back then,” Haskins said, via the team's official website. “Watching that tape, that’s not me and it wasn’t me out there. You just want to look at it and be like, ‘This is what I messed up on’ and move on from it. I don’t mind watching it; I just prefer to watch something else.”

Sunday's matchup for the Redskins with the Giants will show whether Haskins' analysis on his plays is true. That won't be too tough. After all, all he has to do is throw less than three interceptions to have a better game.
