Isn't it ironic that the day after Dwayne Haskins was criticized for failing to take the field on the game's final snap due to the 22-year old taking a selfie with a fan it's announced Monday that the rookie is dealing with a “slight wrist injury”? Whatever the case may be, no one could deny the excitement Haskins felt after securing the first NFL win of his career.

It doesn't appear that Haskins' wrist injury is severe enough to keep him out of next weeks contest against the Carolina Panthers as the rookie will hope to build off of Week 12's victory, for whatever it's worth. We should not diminish how important Sunday's win was big for Haskins and the Redskins as a whole.

The team had looked miserable in the weeks prior as it seemed like Washington had given up on the season with more than half of it still left. As the Redskins move towards a new head coach in the 2020 season, we will see the changes that come with it. As fans still hold out hope they can convince Dan Synder sells the team, if Haskins is able to play well for the rest of the season the fans anger might quite a bit.

Washington should continue to monitor Haskins' wrist injury and should not be afraid to hold him out if he is not at 100%. At this point, keeping the rookie healthy is worth much more than winning any regular-season game.
