The Washington Redskins selected quarterback Dwayne Haskins with the 15th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. In his rookie year, Haskins dealt with the typical ups-and-downs of a young quarterback. He had some bad moments to start the year, but as the season went on he improved dramatically.

By the end of the season, Haskins was looking solid as a starter. But he does not seem satisfied with that going into his second year.

Anyone who has paid attention to Haskins this offseason knows just how hard he has been working. We've frequently seen video of the quarterback throwing dimes to receivers or showing off pictures of his new, lean look.

Some people have wondered how that weight loss could help the Redskins quarterback. According to John Keim of ESPN on Twitter, Haskins reveals how he believes it assist him this year:

A more dynamic Haskins could be fun. He should at least be able to move around the pocket better and being more of a threat running. Haskins' major strength is his arm. But adding some extra “dynamic” pieces to his game will make him all that much more dangerous as the leader of the Redskins offense.

The lost weight might make some fans nervous that he is more susceptible to injury or that he's suddenly more fragile.

However, it could also be argued that Haskins will be better conditioned than ever before. And that conditioning could help keep the quarterback healthier.

Haskins is definitely poised for a breakout year in his sophomore season with the Redskins. If he is adding some dynamism to his game, it could just make his second season that much better.
