Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins made an interesting choice for a workout partner on Wednesday, throwing passes to free agent receiver Antonio Brown.

The one-time superstar, Brown, comes with a lot of baggage. That's the reason he played in just one game in 2019 despite being considered by many to be one of the best in the NFL at his position.

Because of the issues he's had, fans are extremely divided on the wide receiver. Many want him on their favorite team, as he's an obvious upgrade to any receiver corps. Meanwhile, others don't want him around, as they are afraid he could hurt team chemistry or cause problems.

This is particularly true of teams with young quarterbacks. There is a fear that he could create serious problems for a quarterback still developing.

That being said, Brown has kept quiet lately and stayed out of trouble. Maybe his mayhem is behind him.

Therefore, it brings up some extra intrigue when it was revealed that Brown has been working out with Haskins (with Chad Ochocinco, nee Johnson, serving as a defensive back).

There are two very obvious arguments to be made for Brown joining the Redskins, if this indeed leads down that path. Yes, Brown would bring a massive circus to the team and could create some issues in the locker room.

At the same time, however, he would easily be the Redskins' best wide receiver. Terry McLaurin and company have a ton of potential. Outside of McLaurin, though, no one has proven to be a serious threat just yet.

Brown would make things much easier for Haskins and the offense. He would give Haskins a legitimate star as a receiving target. Meanwhile, McLaurin would have a lot of pressure taken off of him. Antonio Gandy-Golden, Kelvin Harmon and Steven Sims Jr. would all have much easier assignments as well.

Of course, it's also important to note that this could end up being nothing beyond simply being a quarterback and a wide receiver working out together because they were both available. Still, it is at the very least an intriguing development worth keeping an eye on.
