Garfield: Not a fan of Mondays. Jay Gruden: Not very good at them.

After the Washington Redskins' 31-15 loss to the Chicago Bears, Gruden has now fallen to 1-9 in Monday Night Football games in his head-coaching career. In fact, he has already lost seven in a row, according to WTKR.

With the defeat, Gruden and the Redskins also remain winless for the season with a 0-3 tally. Moreover, it also broke their seven-game winning streak against the Bears, a record that dates all the way back to 2004. They are now 26-24-1 against the Bears.

Monday's loss was an ugly one. For the first time in his NFL career, Washington quarterback Case Keenum racked up five turnovers. For the night, the veteran quarterback went 30 for 43 for 332 yards, two touchdowns, three interceptions (including a pick-six) and two fumbles.

Despite Keenum's performance, Gruden didn't debut rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins — Washington's No. 15 overall pick out of Ohio State. Perhaps not doing so was to protect him against a Bears defense that feasted on Washington. Or, it was due to Keenum showing a sliver of hope of a comeback, only to see him frustratingly turnover the ball.

Gruden is on the hot seat after the performance that can only be described as ugly. His struggles on primetime are noted and aren't doing him any favors. If his team can't pick up a win next week, against the New York Giants, changes may be coming to the nation's capital soon.
