The Washington Redskins are heading into a key late-season divisional matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Redskins could be without two crucial parts of the offense against the Cowboys in Jordan Reed and Trent Williams.

Reed has been dealing with a nagging hamstring injury that has now forced him to miss five straight games. He has been limited to just six games where he has hauled in 27 catches on 35 targets for 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

His absence will once again thrust Vernon Davis into the starting spot while Niles Paul will handle the primary backup duties. Jamison Crowder has been the biggest beneficiary with Reed out, as he's currently experiencing one of the best stretches of his career over the last four games with 27 catches for 412 yards and one touchdown. It will also push second-year wide receiver Josh Doctson into a prominent role in the passing game against an injury-riddled Cowboys' defense.

Meanwhile, left tackle Trent Williams is dealing with a knee injury that will likely require surgery after the conclusion of the 2017 season. He had originally suffered the injury against the Kansas City Chiefs on Oct. 2 that has limited his participation in practice in the weeks that have followed.

Williams has had an 11-day layover after not playing against the New York Giants on Thanksgiving Day. He will likely be a game-time decision, but the time off should give way to the 29-year-old taking the field against the Cowboys.
