Landon Collins is heading into the 2019 NFL season for the first time not wearing a New York Giants jersey. He had a busy offseason, but ended up signing with the Washington Redskins. The move gives him a legitimate rivalry to take care of against his former team.

With the season drawing closer, the Redskins' star safety has a game plan for facing his former team. That game plan includes an aggressive style of play.

“For me, it’s going to be a lot of aggression,” Collins said. “When I go to those types of games, I go to my college times. I was from Louisiana and I was playing LSU [while at Alabama]. So just being able to keep my composure as much as possible, keep my emotions in check and play within my defense. When you go against a team that you have some aggression against, you want to let some self-esteem out. You want to pick your times and pick your moments to do that. You got to be able to control it at the end of the day because it could hurt the team more than it could help. From that standpoint, I just got to keep the emotions under control.”

Since leaving the Giants in free agency, Collins has continued to stir the pot. He has made comments about the Giants and general manager Dave Gettleman. Collins even went so far as to say that he would “take out” Gettleman prior to one of the matchups this year.

Obviously, the Giants messed up with the way that they handled the Collins situation. He is now on the road for revenge and that's a scary situation with that kind of talent. Collins is going to leave everything he has on the field and is in line for a massive season with the passion that he currently has.

Expect to see Collins put up monstrous performances against the Giants this season. Washington has a legitimate superstar at the safety position and he is going to be a major part of their planned success in the coming years.
