New York Giants safety Jabrill Peppers and Landon Collins – the former Giant who now plays with the Washington Redskins – got into a bit of an altercation after the Giants 24-3 victory on Sunday. When asked about it, Collins wasted no time in ripping into Peppers about the issue.

Collins was asked a handful of times about the altercation but declined to answer. However, according to Bob Glauber of Newsday, the safety didn’t like how Peppers conducted himself following the win.

“He just started yapping,” Collins said. “I mean, you had a good game, so what’s your point of talking to me? You had a good game. Just go about your business. If I had a good game, I’m not going to sit there and trash-talk the opponent, especially a guy that’s been doing it way longer than you and better than you.”

Collins went on to say that Peppers had been pretty quiet through the first three weeks of the season before having a great game on Sunday, which includes an interception returned for a touchdown.

“He made his first play today in four weeks?” Collins said. “I mean, I made plenty of plays in that jersey and I’m still making plays. He just started talking. You know I’m not that kind of person, so for me to get that way, you’ve got to start talking to me, and that’s what he did.”

Collins and the entire Redskins team had themselves a game to forget on Sunday, as the team couldn’t do much against a Giants team led by rookie quarterback Daniel Jones. The loss dropped Washington to 0-4 on the season, and with the team already turning to Dwayne Haskins at quarterback, it might be a sign that they are prepared to enter a bit of a rebuilding year, and it could result in a slew of changes across the team.
