Landon Collins no longer plays for the New York Giants, and got the massive payday he sought in free agency. Still, the Washington Redskins' superstar safety clearly has no love lost for Giants general manager Dave Gettleman.

During a Monday appearance on NFL Network, Collins was asked how he would react if he saw Gettleman on the field during warmups prior to a game against his former team.

“I would try to tell one of my defensive back coaches, ‘Throw the ball in that direction.' Give him a nice little thud, a little run over,” he said, per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

Collins went one step further, too, suggesting he would have no qualms with taking Gettleman to the ground.

“I don’t think he’s got the skill level to stay on his feet,” he said of Gettleman.

Collins signed a six-year, $84 million deal with the Redskins in March, the most lucrative contract ever given to a safety.

Reports of his imminent departure from the Giants first surfaced in late February, when he reportedly cleaned out his locker at the team’s training facility. Collins posted a farewell to New York on social media shortly thereafter, confirming reports that the team had elected against slapping him with the franchise tag – a move that actually should have endeared him to Gettleman, who also grew crossways with Odell Beckham Jr. during his time with the Giants.

Collins had 96 tackles, five tackles for loss, two quarterback hits, and four passes defended in 2018, being named to his third consecutive Pro Bowl.
