Reuben Foster's first season with the Washington Football Team never got off of the ground due to an unfortunate injury. But it appears he'll be back with the team soon as he's been cleared to return after being activated from the PUP list, per Washington's official Twitter account.

Also, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirmed the news, sharing Foster's incredible journey to return to the field in 2020.

Reuben Foster began his career as the No. 31 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft with the San Francisco 49ers. He would combine for 101 tackles in his first two seasons before being released by the 49ers during the 2018 season.

The former Alabama linebacker was charged with suspicion of domestic battery. Despite the legal issues he was going through, Washington claimed the former first-round pick off of waivers. And in January of 2019, the charges of domestic battery against Foster were dropped.

As Reuben Foster prepped himself for his debut season with Washington, he was poised to have a prominent role in the defense. However, during OTAs, Foster would suffer a significant knee injury.

After undergoing tests, Foster was found to have torn his ACL and LCL in his knee. As a result, he would be sidelined for the entire 2019 season. In addition to that, he was going to have an uphill climb to return to the NFL in 2020.

Nonetheless, just months after finally getting feeling back in his foot, Foster appears to be returning to the field. While Foster has had a rough start to his career, Ron Rivera is hoping that he can turn his career around this season.
