The unfortunate and sickening news surrounding the Washington football team was published on Thursday and Ron Rivera isn't fond of the reports. ESPN's John Keim shared Rivera's strong reaction to the sexual assault allegations against Washington employees.

Within the disturbing piece penned by the Washington Post, a total of 15 female employees alleged that they were sexually harassed by former members of the organization. Altogether, Larry Michael, Alex Santos, and Richard Mann II were the names accused of committing the egregious acts.

Even though Daniel Snyder wasn't named in the allegations, he seemed complicit in creating a toxic work environment. While Rivera has only been with the team since December, he's made it clear he won't allow history to repeat itself. The well-respected head coach wants to instill a new culture in Washington.

Rivera pointed out that the organization must move forward despite the severity of the issues at hand. At the same time, with his daughter employed by the team, he isn't going to condone anything that happened in previous regimes.

Of course, with Snyder's failures, many are going to call for him to sell the team. When Rivera was hired, Snyder gave him a bit more control than prior head coaches this offseason. Provided that, finding new ownership can be easily achieved with a new regime in place.

In recent weeks, Washington has also confirmed that they'll be changing their team name in the near future. While he has yet to coach his first game with the franchise, it's been an eventful eight months for Rivera.

At the least, hopefully Rivera can be part of a positive change that takes place in the nation's capital.
