The Washington Redskins are going all out for the release of the 2020 NFL schedule with a live show that will include an appearance from head coach Ron Rivera. Rivera is expected to make an appearance at 7:30 PM E.T. to give his reaction to and analysis of the team's schedule, along with his outlook for the upcoming season.

Other famous non-players that are scheduled to make an appearance are Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey, direct Peter Berg and former Ohio State Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer.

McConaughey is one of the Redskins most famous fans, often being outspoken about the direction of his favorite team. After the Redskins hired Rivera, McConaughey had nothing but praise for the move, saying at the time:

“I like where we’re heading … We’ve needed to make a change, and I think we’re really now on our way.”

Rivera found quite a bit of success while serving as the Carolina Panthers' head coach. Washington, meanwhile, has struggled in recent years, and McConaughey hopes Rivera will return the team to its glory days, adding,

“This is a chance for us to get back in that conversation … We are now saying, ‘Hey, we’re going to build a dynasty again' … and Hail Redskins.”

On Thursday night. Redskins players Chase Young, Ryan Kerrigan, and Thomas Davis will make an appearance. The team's No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Chase Young, will also be included in the event.

While circumstances are currently unusual for the world — and the world of sports — Washington is trying to bring a bit of entertainment around the typically mundane business of a schedule release.
