The Washington Redskins are looking to get a winning streak going on the road against the Green Bay Packers in Week 14. They are hoping that linebacker Ryan Kerrigan will be available to help them out.

Kerrigan was forced to sit out of the 29-21 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 13 while dealing with a concussion. Head coach Bill Callahan announced that he has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol, via Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk:

Kerrigan has cleared concussion protocol, coach Bill Callahan said Wednesday.

This is certainly an encouraging update for Washington. Kerrigan's absence had left a rather notable void on the edge last week. They will need all the help they can get if they hope to pull off an upset over Green Bay.

Kerrigan had his impressive streak of 139 consecutive games played snapped due to the concussion he had suffered versus the Detroit Lions prior to last week. It was the first game that he has missed since being taken in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Fortunately, he will now have a chance to get right back onto the field after one game.

Kerrigan had been in the midst of an underwhelming 2019 campaign before he was finally able kick things up a notch with 2.5 sacks in two games prior to the injury. He is now hoping to pick up where he left off against this talented Packers' offense in Week 14.

Even if he does play, it will be interesting to see how much time he splits with backup linebacker Ryan Anderson.
