Current Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen has become the talk of the town as of late — and for all the wrong reasons. With the Cardinals slated to pick at No. 1 overall come the end of the month in Nashville, the NFC West franchise has continually been linked to former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback and 2018 Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray, who has the potential to come off the board first at the 2019 NFL Draft.

As a result, the Cardinals have reportedly been shopping Rosen all offseason long with the Washington Redskins apparently ramping up their interest in acquiring the soon-to-be second-year signal caller with the aforementioned 2019 NFL Draft looming.

“At No. 15, there's no guarantee a quarterback they like falls to them — let alone one ready to start,” writes John Keim of ESPN. “The Redskins do have Colt McCoy and Case Keenum, but they need a long-term answer at quarterback with Alex Smith's future in doubt. And there's a solid chance they end up trading for Arizona quarterback Josh Rosen. With Gruden likely entering the season on the hot seat, he needs immediate help from the first-round pick.”

Despite the fact that the Redskins currently have a stable of quarterbacks under contract, Washington does not have the team's quarterback of the future in-house at this time. Not only that, but perhaps the Redskins don't believe that the top signal callers in the 2019 NFL Draft could help the struggling NFC East franchise turn things around in a hurry — the quarterbacks that Washington will ultimately have access to, anyway.

Either way, Rosen will be a name to keep an eye on moving forward this offseason.
