The Washington Redskins could have used wideout Terry McLaurin in last week's blowout loss to the New York Giants. Better said, quarterback Dwayne Haskins could have really used McLaurin. Saying the rookie quarterback struggled in his debut would be an understatement. Throwing for only 107 yards in addition three picks, Haskins was clearly not ready to be thrown into the fire.

Whether it is Haskins, Case Keenum, or Colt McCoy starting under center this week, getting McLaurin back will benefit any of them. Arguably the most impressive rookie receiver in the NFL through the three games he has played, McLaurin has 16 catches for 257 yards and three touchdowns.

Now comes news that McLaurin was limited in Thursday practice.

Staring at the New England Patriots in next week's matchup, who host the leagues best and most dominate defense, will be a struggle as Washington should considered holding McLaurin out until Week 6. Their matchup against the Dolphins would be perfect timing to bring back McLaurin as well as possible put Haskins back in under center as the two have a well known connection.

In McLaurin's senior season at Ohio State, he hauled in 35 receptions for 701 yards and 11 touchdowns all coming from Haskins. If Haskins needs more time to learn and get up to speed on the NFL game head coach Jay Gruden should hold him out to prevent another disappointing performance that could damage his confidence.

Nonetheless, McLaurin getting back on the field is a good sign for the 0-4 Redskins.
