Washington Redskins quarterback Dwayne Haskins finally managed to show some promise against the Cincinnati Bengals during Week 2 of the preseason. It appears tight end Vernon Davis is all in on his future as the franchise player.

Davis has gotten an ample look at Haskins through training camp and the preseason. He said during an appearance on Good Morning Football that the rookie will go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time:

“He has the ability, the potential to be one of the all-time greats cause of his arm strength and what he brings to the team. This kid is unbelievable.”

“I mean this kid is unbelievable and I watch him every single day,” he added. “But he's still learning, there's that learning curve that every rookie goes through, he's getting there, he's continuing to get better. He's fine-tuning himself and I look forward to see what he's going to bring in the future.”

This is certainly some high praise from Davis considering he has witnessed plenty of quality quarterbacks firsthand throughout his illustrious 13-year career. It is safe to say that Haskins has made quite the impression on his new teammates.

Washington put an emphasis on securing their future under center by taking him with the 15th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Despite his promise, head coach Jay Gruden has indicated that he will be taking a patient approach with Haskins' development.

Although he may not be pegged as the starter going into the 2019 NFL season, that could very well change if he continues to turn heads.

It seems Davis may be among those hoping that Dwayne Haskins can find a way to potentially change Gruden's mind.
