This, of course, is part of the rebranding efforts the franchise has been pursuing over the past few weeks due to incessant public demand to scrap their former moniker.

Though the team has yet come up with a new nickname and chose to just go with ‘Washington Football Team’ the NFL 2020 season, their new brand is starting to shape up.

Seriously though, these helmets look super clean.

This is the first time we’re seeing these new helmets up close. Though it was initially reported that the team will still continue to carry their original colors of burgundy and gold,we only got a sneak peak of their full uniforms shortly after they made the announcement of dropping their original moniker. We’re still waiting for the team to unveil their full jerseys which will be sporting their brand new logo.

It’s been quite a rocky past few weeks for Dan Snyder and his franchise and the announcement to officially retire their old name seems to be a sign of better things to come for Washington. Hopefully, this new chapter for the Washington Football Team starts on a good note as they look to bounce back from one of their worst seasons in recent history. Newly-acquired head coach Ron Rivera will look to spearhead the new-look Washington squad back to playoff contention.
