The Washington Redskins are not primed to impress in 2019 while the NFC East franchise continues to rebuild its roster from the ground up. However, that has not stopped the Redskins from attempting to be active this offseason with the struggling franchise now being linked to veteran NFL wide receiver Kenny Britt.

While the Redskins recently housed Britt for a visit in Washington to begin the week, John Keim of ESPN has now reported that the two sides were unable to come to an agreement “at this time.”

The 30-year-old Britt has had a serious fall from grace after originally come off the board to the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft out of Rutgers. The former collegiate standout lasted five seasons in Tennessee before joining the then St. Louis Rams in 2014. He has since spent time with both the Cleveland Browns and heralded New England Patriots, though Britt failed to make a regular season appearance as a result of the 2018-19 campaign.

Looking to make it back to the highest level, Britt has yet to latch on with the struggling Redskins, who could definitely use some help at the wide receiver position ahead of the 2019-20 season.

The Redskins will be forced to compete against both the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys going forward as the New York Giants don't appear to be close to becoming successful any time soon. Though the Redskins seem to be looking to turn things around in a hurry, such a notion doesn't seem plausible for the upcoming campaign.
