The Washington Football Team (née Redskins) is looking to move past a tumultuous offseason by sparking a potential resurgence in the 2020 NFL season. Fortunately, they can take solace in the fact that linebacker Reuben Foster is on track to assist in their efforts.

Foster's stint with Washington still has yet to begin after he missed all of last season while recovering from a torn ACL, LCL and MCL. According to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post, is looking forward to the challenge of making his return:

“I’m up for any challenge. But when it comes to football, I’m not take any baby steps. I’m taking big steps,” Foster said. “I’ve been out for two years, and it’s kinda hard. It’s hard. I only know the pain. And certain people know the injuries I’ve been through, but I have to just keep pushing forward.”

It was revealed that Foster had also suffered nerve damage due to the injury. However, he was recently cleared to return from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list after successfully regaining the feeling in his foot and is now ready to start finding his rhythm in training camp with Washington.

Washington claimed Foster off waivers after he was released by the San Francisco 49ers following an arrest for domestic violence. His tenure with the team formerly known as “Redskins” has yet to officially begin after the former first-rounder sat out all last season.

Foster is poised to take on an integral role in Washington's defense. Before that, he will need to show that he is back to 100 percent on the field throughout the course of training camp.
