The Washington Redskins are set to face the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7 in what could be a pivotal NFC East division matchup that could greatly impact their respective playoff chances.

This will be a contest that the Redskins will be without one of their primary offensive contributors with wide receiver Jameson Crowder being declared out, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Jamison Crowder has been out of the mix due to a sprained ankle that may push him to sit out much longer than the two consecutive games that he has missed up to this point. He has been unable to practice and has been seen wearing a walking boot this week that would seem to indicate that he's dealing with something that continues to bother him. He has been able to play in four games this season where he has recorded 13 catches for 134 receiving yards and a touchdown. This puts him on pace for 42 catches for 429 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

The 25-year-old has seen a notable drop off in his production this season as he has become a secondary option in the passing game behind wide receiver Paul Richardson, and tight ends Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis. He has remained a reliable receiving option but that hasn't exactly translated to him continuing to be featured in a heavy role offensively over the first few games of the year.

This injury has prevented him from making a bigger impact on the team while it hasn't allowed for him to build a stronger on the field beyond with Pro Bowl quarterback Alex Smith this season. His absence from Sunday's game along with Richardson likely being out due to a right shoulder injury could put the team in a tough spot against the Cowboys stout defense that ranks ninth overall and second with just 17.2 points per game allowed.
