The Washington Redskins currently own the 15th overall pick in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday, but they don’t seem too content with their positioning. That’s why they are exploring moving into the top five, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

It seems obvious what the Redskins are trying to do here.

Washington is in need of a quarterback, as it is currently going into the 2019 campaign with Case Keenum and Colt McCoy battling it out for the starting job. Yes, Alex Smith is on the roster, but he will likely miss all of next season as he recovers from a gruesome broken leg injury.

If the Redskins stay at No. 15, it doesn’t seem all that likely that the top signal-callers will still be on the board, so it absolutely makes sense for them to try and move up.

So, just who is Washington looking at in the top five?

Obviously, no one knows for sure, but the hot rumor has been that the Redskins covet Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins, whose draft stock has been all over the place this offseason.

A couple of months ago, Haskins was considered almost a shoo-in to be the second quarterback chosen with the Arizona Cardinals zeroing in on Kyler Murray at No. 1. But, recently, some have said that Haskins’ stock has dropped, with some teams even saying he is not a first-round talent.

Taking everything into consideration, it seems hard to imagine Haskins falling out of the top 32, and, more than likely, he will be a top 10 pick.
