There are still some top free agents available this offseason. That includes left tackle Jason Peters and cornerback Logan Ryan.

Coincidentally, those are the two positions that most people believe the Washington Redskins have the biggest needs.

However, according to Zachary Neel of Redskinswire.com, Washington won't be going after them. In the article, Neel says that John Keim of ESPN believes

“Unless the thinking changes, I don’t see them in on guys like Logan Ryan or Jason Peters,”

While the Redskins came into the offseason with needs at these two positions, they've filled them to a point.

At cornerback, Washington most notably signed Kendall Fuller and Ronald Darby. Meanwhile, they drafted Saahdiq Charles to fill the role at left tackle.

You could argue that at cornerback the Redskins could still use a true number one. And at the same time, that Charles is still just 20 and it would be wise for Washington to bring someone in to start for a year or two until the youngster is ready.

It appears the Redskins aren't thinking along those same lines though. Or, at least, they don't believe the need is as serious as others do.

All that being said, there is still a lot of time before the season even starts. Therefore, the Redskins could end up making a move at some point this offseason to upgrade at those positions a little bit more.

If this report is to be believed though, it won't be Ryan or Peters that they are going after. So it might be time to start looking at the other names available for Washington to go after.
