The Washington Redskins granted permission to Trent Williams to seek a trade this offseason nearly a week ago. There haven't been many teams interested in acquiring him. The reason for that could be due to Washington's trade demands being revealed by Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Since Williams was put on the trade block, the rumored asking price for his services is a second-round pick. But as Garafolo pointed out, there aren't any teams that have shown a willingness to pay that steep of a price for Williams.

This past season, Williams chose to sit out the entire year due to a medical dispute with the Redskins. While he wanted to be released or traded, Washington refused to grant his wish.

However, with Ron Rivera in as head coach, the Redskins made it a priority to try and mend their relationship with the veteran left tackle. Despite their efforts, both sides have agreed it is best that he continues his career elsewhere.

Amid the debacle between Williams and the Redskins, the New England Patriots reportedly offered a first-round pick for Williams this past season. Even though that was a remarkable offer, the Redskins chose to deny New England's offer.

Now, Washington likely has to settle for third-round pick or even later to rid of Williams. Another obstacle that could hold up trade talks is the fact that Williams wants an extension wherever he lands. A trade involving Williams likely won't come into fruition until Washington is willing to lower their asking price.
