It may have taken nearly two whole seasons, but Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice was finally able to find paydirt against the Carolina Panthers in Week 13.

Washington managed to come up with a huge turnover on an interception by cornerback Fabian Moreau. It took Guice just one play to get into the end zone for the first time in his career, via NFL Twitter:

The fact that this was Guice's first career touchdown may come as a surprise given his status as a former second-round pick. Unfortunately, it is indicative of his struggles with injuries to start his career.

Guice's rookie campaign was over before it started after tearing his ACL during the preseason. Although he had made a full recovery, he suffered another setback with a torn meniscus in the 2019 NFL season opener.

Fortunately, Derrius Guice has finally started to find his footing in the backfield and is off to a promising outing in Carolina.
