Detroit Pistons guard Reggie Jackson was initially slated to sit out six to eight weeks due to left knee tendinitis.

Jackson told Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press that his plasma treatment is going well.

The original diagnosis for Jackson during treatment was met with no timetable for return, but Jackson says he intends to return to practice within four weeks after the procedure, and two weeks have passed since.

It will be impossible for Jackson to jump directly into the regular season at the same level he was prior to the injury, so the Pistons are looking for a temporary replacement at the point guard position.

In the meantime, Ish Smith will man the starting position until he returns.
