With two MVPs, three championships, seven All-Star appearances, and a host of other accomplishments, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry has established himself as not only the greatest shooter the NBA has ever seen but also one of the best at his position.

On Sunday night, Curry further cemented himself as the greatest shooter after taking home the 3-Point Contest title, his second win at the event in seven tries. With the victory, he is now tied with Peja Stojakovic, Jason Kapono, Jeff Hornacek, and Mark Price for second all-time on the list of 3-Point Contest titles. Larry Bird and Craig Hodges lead the way with three titles.

With seven appearances at the event, it’s hard to believe the 32-year-old only has two wins, with his other win coming in 2015. Here is how the league’s only unanimous MVP fared in his other stints in the 3-Point Contest.

1. 2010 – Lost in final round

Even as he entered the NBA as a rookie, Stephen Curry’s talent at shooting from beyond the arc was already apparent, as he made the 3-Point Contest as a 21-year-old. He started off strong in the contest, shooting 18-of-25 in the first round to enter the finals of the event. However, he finished with just 17 points in the final round, which was three behind Boston Celtics forward Paul Pierce, who won the event.

2. 2013 – Lost in first round

After two years of missing the event, Stephen Curry was back in Houston. This time, the former Davidson Wildcat got off to a slow start before finishing strong, making nine of his final 10 shots to finish with 17 points. However, it was not enough to get him to the final round, making it just one of two times where he didn’t enter the second round of the event in his seven appearances. Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving would win the event with a score of 24.

3. 2014 – Lost in first round

Looking to atone for his subpar performance in the previous year’s event, Stephen Curry was back at the 3-Point Contest the very next year in New Orleans. He made the decision to place his moneyball rack in his fifth shooting station, but the gamble didn’t pay off, as he made just one of his last five shots, although he still shot 8-of-10 from the wings. He would finish with 16 points and miss the final for the second straight year. Marco Belinelli of the San Antonio Spurs ended up winning the event that year.

5. 2016 – Lost in final round

By the time he competed at the event at the 2016 All-Star Weekend festivities in Toronto, Stephen Curry was already an MVP, an NBA champion, and a 3-Point Contest winner after bagging the title the previous year in Brooklyn. He was looking for back-to-back 3-Point Contest titles and seemed on his way to pulling it off after finishing with 21 in the first round to reach the finals. But after finishing with a score of 23 in the final round, he was foiled by Warriors teammate and fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson, who finished with 27 in the round to win the title.

5. 2019 – Lost in final round

Competing in his hometown of Charlotte, Stephen Curry was eager to win the 3-Point Contest in 2019. After the first round, it seemed that the title was headed his way, as he finished with a first-round score of 27, the night’s highest single-round score. In the final, he found himself going up against Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter Joe Harris, who finished with a score of 26. In a thrilling finish, he would finish with a final-round score of 24, falling just one moneyball shy of tying Harris.
