Only a few days left before the 2017 NBA Draft commences and, as expected, rumors intensify by the day.

Draft-related news have interestingly evolved over the past few weeks. From teams eyeing certain prospects to workouts shaking up numerous projections, it has been quite a ride. But amid all these, nothing beats it when star players’ names begin to get involved in trade discussions.

Earlier, Jimmy Butler’s name made waves across the internet after being thrown into rumors of a potential deal between the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, and, of course, Chicago Bulls.

This may be the catchiest of all draft-related topics as it could very well shake up the top of the Eastern Conference that has been comfortably occupied by the Cleveland Cavaliers for quite a while.

Butler has three more years remaining on his current contract, with the final being a player option, making him a very enticing trade target for the Celtics. All three teams involved have the assets and cap space to make this transaction work so don’t be surprised if the popular top pick, Markelle Fultz, goes to another team other than Boston.

Interestingly, Jahlil Okafor, a Chicago-native, is also involved in these discussions, but it’s still unclear if he is slated to end up with his hometown team.
