Atlanta Hawks small forward Kent Bazemore will sit out the next two games, including tonight’s game against the Miami Heat, due to right knee soreness, according to the team.

Bazemore received an MRI performed earlier today, which showed no structural damage. His status will be updated as his healing progresses.

With Kyle Korver taking on a bench role in recent games, head coach Mike Budenholzer is likely to roll with Tim Hardaway, Jr. at shooting guard and Thabo Sefolosha at small forward for as long as Bazemore is out.

The 6-foot-5 wing has had a disappointing season thus far with averages of 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists — all down from last season.

The Hawks will miss his presence on defense and athleticism the most, but hope to keep the ship afloat with Sefolosha's defensive savvy. Atlanta has taken a considerable dip this season after a 9-2 start, losing 10 of their last 11 games, including seven straight losses coming into today's matchup with the Heat.
