After the Los Angeles Lakers finished up their Kobe Bryant farewell tour, their efforts turned directly to rebuilding the franchise.
They brought in Golden State Warriors assistant coach Luke Walton to be their new head coach. At the start of free agencythe Lakers made the big move of signing 7'1″ center Timofey Mozgov to a four-year deal worth $64 million.
Now, NBA reporter David Aldridge is reporting a mutual interest between the Lakers and Boston Celtics shooting guard Evan Turner.
Lakers have also reached out to express their interest in Celtics UFA Evan Turner, per source. Turner has stated his interest in them, too.

Turner had a solid year with Boston, averaging 10.5 points, 4.4 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game last season, mostly coming off the bench and drawing some Sixth Man of the Year award consideration.
He would be a huge addition for LA, who could use a veteran presence to lighten the load on their younger players, who are still trying to find their own place in the league.
