The Los Angeles Lakers are beginning a new era of basketball with their young core of players now that Kobe Bryant has retired.

Early this week, NBA.com reported that 2014 first round pick Julius Randle suffered a laceration to his right hand while practicing with the team. He cut the webbing between the middle and ring fingers and received seven stitches. He will be reevaluated in around 14 days.

The Lakers will start training camp in mid-September, and this injury should not affect his ability to be ready for that. The Lakers' new head coach Luke Walton will definitely be implementing a similar offense to Steve Kerr's Warriors. Randle could be in line for a Draymond Green-type role with the Lakers.
