If any team is looking for a big man who is averaging 19.9 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game, and 1.7 blocks per game there is one available.

Those are numbers that many NBA teams can’t boast of from their center position and it looks like an invaluable piece, at least on paper.

Sure today’s NBA is a guard’s game and is played from the outside in now, but there is just no substitute for a presence on the inside.

The trade deadline is February 23 so the latest any team can grab this player can choose to do so before that time.

There are only a few teams in the league in win now mode, and this might be one trade that is considered heavily.

Who is this player and what team is crazy enough to give up that kind of production?

Brook Lopez is that player that has been put on the trade block by the Brooklyn Nets.

He has been available for some time, but there have been no takers interested in absorbing his salary.

The catch is, the Nets are asking for two 1st-round picks for a Lopez who currently makes $19.6 million.

That is a steep asking price for a player who has not played a full season in six years.

Only a team that will possibly win with him on the roster that has plenty of cap space to absorb that is currently winning now would consider this.

Lopez will not garner that kind of compensation, however, and the Nets will have to lower their asking price or continue to look for buyers that aren't there.
