The talk around the New York Knicks on Tuesday has centered on the sudden availability of forward Kristaps Porzingis on the trade market.

It has also brought forth many other details concerning the matter that Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report has shed light on. Apparently, the Knicks are trying to unload former All-Star center Joakim Noah in any potential deals that include Porzingis:

The addition of Noah to the trade conversation only further complicates things for the Knicks. The 32-year-old just completed the first year of his four-year, $72.5 million deal that has $55.59 million left.

The Lakers just pulled off a similar move in shedding Timothy Mozgov's massive contract by sending D'Angelo Russell to the Nets for Brook Lopez and a late first round pick.

It was a tumultuous first season in New York for Noah, who struggled to perform up to his lucrative contract, averaging just 5.0 points and 8.8 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per game. On top of that, he saw his year end abruptly after he underwent an arthroscopy on his left knee in February. Things only worsened in March after he was suspended for 20 games with play for violating the league's anti-drug policy. He will serve half of that suspension in the first 10 games of the 2017-18 season.

Although Porzingis has a bright future ahead of him in the NBA, the inclusion of Noah in any deal could be a potential dealbreaker. There were reports Tuesday that the Boston Celtics had emerged as a candidate for the 21-year-old, but the addition of the former Defensive Player of the Year could deter the Celtics. His salary of $17.7 million next season would handcuff them in their attempt to possibly add a player like Gordon Hayward.

Ultimately, if the Knicks are hard-pressed on including Noah in the conversation, it could halt any talk of Porzingis being traded away.
