A photo of San Antonio Spurs swingman Kawhi Leonard without his signature braids took the Internet by storm yesterday, making many take a second look to confirm, since he's notably sported them since middle school, as evidenced by his school ID.
Jabari Young of the San Antonio Express-News confirmed the photo is indeed a fake, assuring fans that his braids are still intact and putting an end to the braid-gate rumor.
Just received a call from people close to Kawhi…told me this photo is fake. So there's that. His braids are still intact. #Spurs #NBA pic.twitter.com/m3ARHr5TVK

Someone did take a photo of Kawhi at this gym and decided to alter the pic. But again, he HAS NOT cut his hair. So Braid-Gate is over #Spurs

The fan's photoshop skills are surely up to par, as many believed the two-time Defensive Player of the Year had indeed gone to a different look after years of sporting the same look.
Fear not, the Klaw has kept his hairstyle, so no need to think Samson will lose his powers come the start of the 2017-18 season.
