In an odd turn of events, the Houston Rockets may be looking at a candidate with zero coaching experience to be their new head coach.

Kenny Smith, who has served as a TNT analyst for the past 18 years, is being considered for the Rockets' head coaching vacancy, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.

Smith won two championships with Houston in 1994 and 1995. While he clearly has a history with the franchise, he not only has zero head coaching experience, he doesn't have any coaching experience at all.

As Adrian Wojnarowksi  of The Vertical reports, the Rockets are looking at just about everyone for their head coaching gig. While Smith is a dark-horse candidate at this point, Houston is clearly considering every option at their disposal.
